Wilderness Mara lies in the wildlife-dense Mara Triangle, where open plains meet the Oloololo Escarpment and the Mara River cuts through classic safari country. It is the only camp that allows guests to access both sides of the river, opening up quieter areas, richer game viewing, and a front-row seat to the Great Migration’s most dramatic moments. Formerly Little Governors’, the camp has been rebuilt for a more intimate, low-impact experience, with just 12 tented suites overlooking a thriving marsh. Expertly guided game drives explore landscapes alive with big cats, elephants, black rhino, and prolific birdlife. Grounded in strong conservation partnerships, Wilderness Mara supports predator monitoring, community education, and wider ecosystem protection.

Wilderness Mara offers twelve spacious canvas tents, positioned to maximise privacy and views. Elevated private decks (a metre to a metre and a half off the ground) offer views over the marsh, drawing wildlife and birds. Each tent includes an indoor and outdoor shower.
